About IndexFair

IndexFair is an independent analytical platform that rates licensed gambling brands on regulatory standing and — once Phase 2 lands — aggregated user feedback. We publish how the score is computed, where the data comes from, and when it changes.

What IndexFair is

We are an analytical surface, not an affiliate marketplace. Every score on the site is produced by formula. There is no editor's pick, no "sponsored" placement, no negotiated ranking. Brands are listed because they hold a recognised licence in the relevant market, not because they have a commercial relationship with us.

A short summary of what we do:

  • Score brands on a published methodology, per country and per vertical (betting, casino).
  • Source data from public regulator registers, public review aggregators, and our own structured reading of customer-facing signals.
  • Publish the inputs, the formula, the version history, and the changes as they happen.

The full methodology — including the three scoring blocks and the dual-scale display band — lives at /methodology.

Independence statement

We do not accept payment from operators in exchange for ratings or placement. We do not sell ranking positions, we do not run paid "top picks", and a brand's commercial relationship with us — if any — has no influence on its score.

That commitment is structural, not aspirational:

  • No ownership. IndexFair does not own, partly own, or hold any financial interest in any gambling operator, casino, or sportsbook covered by our index.
  • No affiliate revenue today. IndexFair does not currently receive affiliate commission from any rated brand. Should affiliate revenue be introduced post-launch (per ADR 0038), it will be disclosed on every brand surface and rankings will remain methodology-driven.
  • Methodology-driven rankings. Brand rankings are computed by the published methodology. No editorial overrides. No paid placement. No "sponsored" or "featured" rows.
  • Auditable. Every methodology change is versioned and dated in the public changelog. Every score on the site is reproducible from raw inputs given the active methodology version.

For the named accountable persons behind the platform, see /founders. For our handling of reviews specifically (including the operator-dispute pathway), see /policies/reviews.

Methodology, in one paragraph

The headline score is the weighted sum of three independent blocks: trust and compliance (35 percent), user experience (40 percent), and operational signals (25 percent). Each block is computed on a 0–10 internal scale and combined into the composite. Licensed brands are displayed on a 4.0–9.8 band; offshore brands are displayed on a 1.0–7.0 band, and the two scales never overlap. Pre-Phase-2, only the regulatory licensing component of the trust block is live — the headline number you see today is a scaffold, and the in-page disclaimer says so.

For the full mechanics, see /methodology.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links to operator websites may, in future, route through affiliate trackers. When that program activates, the routing is disclosed at the link source and tracked separately from any score computation. Today, the affiliate program is not active — clicks to operator websites are direct, not affiliated.

Where affiliate income exists in the future, it pays for product development and continued data ingestion. It does not influence scores, ordering, or visibility.
