Conflict register

Public conflict register

Append-only public log of conflicts of interest that have arisen and how they were handled. Standing this page up before any entry exists is deliberate: an empty register is the honest day-one state.

§1

What this register records

An entry is added when an event creates a conflict between IndexFair’s editorial process and the commercial, professional, or personal interests of anyone with influence over that process. Standing structural conflicts — the founder’s UFFILIATES co-founding — are documented in the editorial firewall, not by entries here. This register captures events: a specific approach we accepted or declined, a specific recusal, a specific disclosure.

§2

How it is maintained

  • Entries are append-only. Once an entry is published it is not removed; corrections are added as follow-on entries.
  • Each entry carries a date, a one-sentence summary, and a short paragraph describing how the conflict was handled (declined, recused, disclosed, or escalated under the operational controls documented at /policies/firewall).
  • The register is curated by the founder. There is no automated synchronisation; entries are added by hand within a reasonable window of the event.
§3

Register

No entries

This register records every instance where a commercial relationship could have influenced a rating — an approach declined, a recusal, a disclosure, or an escalation. It contains no entries because no such event has occurred.
